The Sport Cub S2 is the modern age of good ol' backcountry flying. After many years of rebuilding and improving the original Cub, the many new design improvements eventually led to an all-new airplane. The Sport Cub S2 features the same light weight airframe and carbon fiber components as its Carbon Cub brother, while sporting a 100hp Continental engine.
The S2 Cub offers the capability of carrying up to 120 pounds of cargo in addition to the passengers, while still delivering better climb and faster cruise performance than the original Cubs. Add to that flaps and vortex generators and you've got an airplane capable of some serious STOL capability while still meeting the light sport requirements.
